I am happy to report that we have regained some sense of decorum in the cake decorating department. A cousin needed a birthday cake for her great-grandchild and Spongebob saved the day! However, Nick (the self-professed Spongebob connoisseur) was not impressed and claims to be capable of something much better. Put your money where your mouth is, chump!
We delivered the cake and rushed to Snowflake (Lobos, we're proud of you ...) to the last regular season football game of the year. The mighty PAYSON LONGHORNS beat them 52 to 15! We are the 3A East Region Champs and have our first playoff game this weekend at home vs. the Holbrook Roadrunners. Our team is freakin' AWESOME!!! Vernon & I help feed the team every Thursday night and have our reserved seats in the parent's section (Nick is the team manager). It's been a lot of fun and we're planning to go all the way to STATE!!!

Saturday morning, my brother Scott and I flew to Oregon. We visited my mom's 94 year old brother. He is the last one surviving of 10 siblings. Uncle Ben is so cute and was so glad to see us. Then we headed across town for the ASU Sun Devils vs. Oregon State Beavers football game. ASU has struggled this season and we were afraid we were going to be blown away. It was a GREAT game in an obnoxiously loud stadium (I HATE the chainsaw!) ASU hung in there and gave OS a scare, losing only by 2 when we missed the 2-point conversion with no seconds left.
The next morning we visited some more with Uncle Ben and went to Sacrament Meeting with him. Then we hurried to the airport and back home.
